Etude for Violin and Orchestra is a musical play where violin and the classical orchestra meet the 21st century technology and together they intertwine themes and musical ideas, waterfalls of notes at a high speed. Not many violinists are able to play a musical piece like this but Radu Cotoman has no problem in being brilliant and original. He keeps saying to me all the time “ the faster, the better”. Etude is a modern world dream, a bridge between old and new, a joke that can be taken seriously as well.
