''Not to be confused with the group of the same name from the UK. These guys were way ahead of their time, playing a blend of instrumental, violin fronted post-rock which invokes feelings of sparsity and space. Think of the more accessible Dirty Three tunes or Grails' Burden of Hope. From Melbourne, these guys unfortunately disbanded in 2001 after having self-released an EP and having both albums produced by Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth). John Brooks (guitar) released an album under the monika J.P. Shilo called As Happy As Sad Is Blue in 2006, and is currently working on a follow up, writes music for film and plays with Adalita, The Black Eyed Susans and heaps of other artists.

Baba means "my most beloved One", Nam means "name of" or "to identify with", and Kevalam means "only". The meaning of the mantra is "My most Beloved is the only One." The ideation is: "Everywhere I look, in everything I hear, feel, see, taste and smell, I perceive that one Supreme Consciousness which pervades all things."
Kiirtan is the singing of a mantra aloud while ideating on the Supreme Being. It inculcates the feeling of bliss and prepares the mind for meditation, because in performing it all the motor and sensory organs are engaged and directed towards the Supreme. It can be done anywhere, any time, but the best time is just before meditation. The mantra used for kiirtan is: Baba Nam Kevalam Baba means "my most beloved One," Nam means "name of" or "to identify with," and Kevalam means "only." So the meaning of the mantra is "My most Beloved is the only One." The ideation is: "Everywhere I look, in everything I hear, feel, see, taste and smell, I perceive that one Supreme Consciousness which pervades all things." Kiirtan has many benefits. It purifies the mind and prepares it for meditation, accelerating the speed of movement toward the Supreme. Because of the mental clarity achieved, one easily finds solutions to problems while performing it, as well as relief from physical and psychic ailments.

楊芳儀和徐曉菁同是東吳大學日文系的學生，同班同學。
1979年，她們一起參加了新力公司金韻獎校園民歌手選拔賽，同年錄製了李子恆先生創作的「秋蟬」，歌曲從此紅遍大街小巷，傳唱至今。
1980年，二人正式組成女聲二重唱，參加金韻獎比賽，獲得優勝獎，她們的合唱專輯也於這年錄製完成。

As a contemporary country-folk singer Wheeler's songs range from thoughtful ballads to irreverent songs about potatoes, pets, and the state of the world.
Admittedly, this song doesn't even remotely ressemble many of Wheeler's more poignant songs such as: Gandhi/Buddha, If it were up to me, Arrow, When Fall comes to New England.
Cheryl Wheeler is a gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice. She has been characterized as a "natural story teller with a fantastic sense of humor". Her music is worth checking out!
